Rajab is one of the 4 sacred months that Allah has stated of in the Holy Qur'aan. The du`aa that the Holy Prophet SAW used to recite always, is: "Allahumma Baarik Lanaa Fee Rajabin Wa Shab`baan, Wa Ballighnaa Ilaa Ramadaan." - "Oh Allah! Grant us blessings during Rajab and Sha`baan, and allow us to reach Ramadaan." Four days are considered the most sacred of this month: The 1st of Rajab, the 1st Friday, the 15th and the 27th, the last of which coincides with the auspicious night of Mi`raaj.
